Row of eight almshouses. 1832. Erected for Sarah Bowyer, form
a bequest made by Lucy Goodacre. Red brick, with C20 concrete
tile roof and four square brick ridge stacks. 2 storey, 8
windows. Ground floor has an added lean-to porch to each
cottage arranged 1:2:1:1:2:1, with a single light window per
cottage, to the front and a glazed door per cottage, to the
side. Central opening has a segment headed passage doorway
with a plank door, and above a slate plaque which records
their bequest. Eight 2-light casements with segment heads on
each floor.
