Aqueduct carrying Lancaster Canal over Savick Brook. 1797,
engineer John Rennie. Rusticated rock-faced sandstone. Tubular
conduit through canal embankment with segmental-arched roof,
reciprocally-shaped floor, and short straight sides; west
portal semi-circular in plan, with segmental arch which has
rusticated voussoirs, steeply-sloped curved abutments with
flat coping, and a parapet on the horizontal centre section.
East portal probably similar, but not inspected except for
parapet visible from west side, which has number plate (13).
