House. Late C18, with C20 alterations and additions. Coursed
squared and rubble Coal Measures Sandstone with ashlar
dressings, quoins, coped gable with moulded kneelers, gable
stacks, and Welsh slate and stone slate roof coverings. L-plan
house, with C20 infil extension in the angle of the 2 ranges.
The south-east elevation is of 2 storeys and 5 bays, formal
and symmetrical elevation, with central door within a massive
stone surround and a plank door with a glazed light in its
upper part. Flanking the door are stacked 2-light
flush-mullioned windows, with 6-pane casements. The heads of
the windows are linked by broad band courses, that to the
ground floor stepping over the doorway as a hood mould. The
north-east gable has a C18 two-light flush-mullioned window to
the first floor, and a C20 two-light glazing-bar casement and
a blocked doorway at ground-floor level.
