GV II

Farmhouse, now house. Dated 1680 on left gable; altered.
Coursed sandstone rubble, composition tile roof. L-plan formed
by 2-unit main range with added kitchen wing to rear of 1st
unit. Two low storeys and 3 windows; with a C20 glazed porch
to an altered or inserted doorway at the right-hand end, a
large C20 bow window to the left, between these a 5-light
mullioned window with a simple hoodmould, and at 1st floor two
3-light mullioned windows and a small single-light window
between them. Ridge chimney. The left gable wall has mullioned
windows of 5 lights at ground floor and 3 lights above, and a
datestone with raised lettering: I/ WK/ 1680, and to the rear
is a low wing with a C20 porch. The right-hand gable wall has
two 2-light windows at ground floor and one 3-light window
above, all with simple hoodmoulds. C20 addition in rear angle.
INTERIOR: remodelled but 1st bay and back kitchen have
chamfered beams. Forms a group with barn approximately 15
metres west (qv).
