Barn, now offices, workshop, garage. Dated 1689 at 1st floor
of wing; altered and recently slightly enlarged. Coursed
sandstone rubble, slate roof. L-plan formed by a 3-bay main
range with a wing to west side of the south bay and an aisled
outshut to the other 2 bays. The east front has slit
breathers, and a waggon doorway in the centre (altered in
C20). The west wing is 2-storeyed and has a doorway near the
left corner, a restored 3-light mullioned window on each
floor, a datestone above the doorway inscribed: D/ IK/ 1689
and a similar 3-light mullioned window on each floor of the
gable wall, that at ground floor partly covered by external
steps to the loft doorway. (Recent one-bay addition at north
end, in matching style.) INTERIOR: timber-framed partitions
with kingpost roof trusses; timber aisle post.
