Late C18 house. 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Multicoloured stock brick.
Stone moulded and mutuled cornice with blocking course concealing roof. Fluted
band at 1st floor level. Arcaded ground floor with stone impost band, arches
resting on stone blocking course of basement. Gauged brick arches to sash windows
with glazing bars, those on 1st floor in stucco lined reveals, those on ground
floor round headed.
Entrance front, on return to Pond Road 3 storeys and basement, 4 windows, those
in left bay all blocked. Parapet concealing roof. Gauged, flat, brick arches
to sash windows with glazing bars. Lateral flight of 8 steps from right side
to 6-panel double door with panelled jambs, cornice head, patterned side lights
and fanlight. Entablature surround has pilasters with guilloche moulding and
feather capitals, fluted frieze, with central panel of paired harpies and paterae
at angles; and dentil cornice.
Garden front has round bay running all up left side of building. 3 curved sash
windows with glazing bars on each floor.
The whole building thoroughly restored after war damage.
