Late C18 terrace of varying houses all of multicoloured stock
brick with parapet fronts. All have gauged brick arches to recessed
sash windows, No 1 replaced with glazing bars, No 4 with glazing bars,
Nos 2-4 with stucco lined reveals.
No 1; 3 storeys and basement, 4 windows. Later louvred shutters. 6-
panel door in moulded wood architrave with patterned fanlight. Round
gauged brick door arch with stucco impost blocks Later swept lead
hood. Side door at left with carved wood relief of Biblical appearance
in tympanum over.
No 2: 3 storeys and basement, 2 windows. 6-panel door with plain
fanlight under similar arch to No 1.
No 3: 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Stucco cornice and
blocking course, architrave string below. Entablature surround to
4-panel door with plain fanlight.
No4: 3 storeys and basement, 2 windows. Flat stucco surrounds with
cornices to door and ground floor window. Round moulded architrave
to 6-panel door with blocked fanlight.
Nos 1 to 16 (consec) and Nos 18 to 20 (consec) form a group.
