7/5 The Old Rectory

House, formerly the rectory. 1853. White brick with wooden bracketed eaves
cornice. Hipped slated roof. 2 storeys. A symmetrical 3-bay block with a 2-
bay wing, set slightly back to the left. Inset sash windows with glazing bars
under flat brick arches. Entrance bay of 3-bay block is slightly recessed.
4-panel door, the longer upper panels glazed, the lower panels with moulded
surrounds. Original stone porch with 2 columns and entablature. The wing has
C20 French windows and semi-circular fanlight, set within an arched recess
close to the junction with the 3-bay block. The stacks have panelled shafts.
5-bay garden front to right hand return, the lower windows extending almost to
ground level. Narrower centre bay with blind panel at ground floor.
