Farmhouse. '1685 BTE' in timber reset over entrance, extended C19, altered
C20. Timber frame on brick base, roughcast. Machine tiled and slated roofs.
3 cell cross passage plan with kitchen/dairy addition to left, altered to
lobby entrance, 2 storeys and attic. Entrance to right of centre in a C20
open gabled porch, to left a C19 tripartite sash, to far left or service bay a
second entrance to right or parlour C20 tripartite casements, first floor C20
2 and 4-light casements. Two 2-light gabled dormers, ridge stack to right of
centre between hall and parlour, cap rebuilt. 2 storey kitchen/dairy addition
to left has mixed casements, a shallow hipped slate roof, to rear a door and
an early leaded window pane, C20 additions behind main range. Interior: some
exposed, studding with chamfered mid-rails, had 3 doors from cross passage into
narrow service bay, hall has bar stopped ovolo moulded axial binding beam,
parlour has a triple ovolo moulded axial binding beam with elaborate leaf and
bar stops, traces of ovolo mullioned windows. First floor arched brace in
walling, parlour chamber double bar stopped ovolo moulded cross axial binding
beam, collars to side purlin roof.
