Service building to Rookery Farm House (q.v.). Late C18. Timber frame,
plastered, with some red brick infill. Pantiled roof. A long range of 5 to 7
bays. 2 storeys. Double offset plinth, facing house 3 doors, 3-light ovolo
mullioned louvred windows, 3 on ground floor, 4 on first floor. Axial ridge
stack towards house, roof hipped towards road. To rear 3 stable doors, coach
doors and similar windows. Interior: some reused early timber in frame with
mid-rail, kitchen fireplace reuses a massive moulded stone bressumer
presumably taken from Westhorpe Hall (q.v.) following its demolition c.1760.
Stairs in front of stack, a first floor fireplace with a moulded mantlepiece.
