Farmhouse. Early C16 with later alterations. Timber framed and plastered;
the right hand gable end is faced in colourwashed brick. Thatched roof,
hipped over the left hand (service) end. 2 storeys. Various casement
windows; some reproduction mullioned windows to the front. 3 original
diamond-mullioned windows to rear at first floor level; another is visible
internally on the ground floor. Half-glazed entrance door within simple
gabled porch. Internal axial stack. Evidence for cross-passage in hall, with
renewed arched heads to former doorways. There is a queen-post roof over the
hall and service end. The stack is a later insertion. The portion of the
house beyond the stack has been altered and appears to have an inserted
floor.
