Farmhouse. Early C17 with C18 1 1/2-storey dairy addition to left. Timber
framed and plastered with a roof of glazed black pantiles. 2 storeys and
attic. 4 windows, mullion and transom casements; the 2 right hand bays have
5-light windows, those on the first floor being the originals. Half-glazed
entrance door (damaged). The stacks are set against the rear wall: 2 are
originals with sawtooth shafts, one is a later addition. The 2 main ground
floor rooms and one first floor room have ovolo-moulded cross-beamed ceilings.
Original dog-leg stair in 2 flights, the newel posts with various designs of
finial. Some close studding and many original internal doors. Intact roof
with butt and clasped purlins and arched wind-bracing.
