3/59 Flint Cottage
II
Two cottages ornees, now one dwelling. Mid C19. Colourwashed
brick with stone slate roof. Single storey and attic, 4 bays.
Symmetrical plan about central entrance, a margin glazed door under
pent roof linking wings on end bays and supported on 2-centred
flint arch with gable at centre. Leaded timber windows either side
of door. Projecting end wings with canted bay to ground floor,
gable jettied on brackets on upper floor, faced in horizontal
boarding decorated and with blind quatrefoils. Cusped barge boards
with stone cross to gable, and cross pendents. Inner bays have
gabled dormers. Large brick stacks with cogged offsets, stone caps
and twin diagonal brick shafts. Return ends have single dormers.
C20 flat roofed service extension at right end.
