Two houses, built as one in late C16. 3-cell cross-entry plan. 2 storeys.
Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with axial chimney; the shaft
rebuilt in C18/C19 red brick. C19 and C20 small-pane casements. El Tup has a
boarded and battened C20 door at cross-entry position. Good unmoulded framing
of c.1570 exposed within El Tup. Tension braced close-studding. Wind-braced
clasped purlin roof with heavy principals. Evidence for a diamond mullioned
window. A lintelled.open fireplace in the hall. To left of Oakwood is a 2-
storey C19 extension of painted brick with pantiled roof, and to right of El
Tup is a single-storey late C20 extension.
