Auctioneers' offices. c1910. Brick with ashlar dressings and
gabled and hipped slate roofs with 2 ridge, single gable and
single side wall stacks, all coped. Ashlar plinth, polychrome
angle pilasters, string courses, deep moulded wooden eaves. 3
storeys; 4x2 windows. Corner site with angled corner. Windows
have stone surrounds and mullions, and eared architraves.
Parliament Street front has to left an entrance bay with
shallow plain pilasters and a cross casement to the first
floor. To left, a small transomed window and to right, a
double bay with a narrow central pilaster and two 3-light
cross casements. Above, a 2-light mullioned casement, flanked
to left by a single window and to right by two 3-light
windows. Entrance has a deep hood with segmental pediment and
a splayed opening with steps. To left, a single transomed
window and to right, two 3-light cross casements with double
keystones. These windows have segmental heads and cornices.
Angled corner bay has a first floor cross casement and above,a
2-light mullioned window. Below, a segment-headed cross
casement with cornice. Left return, to Alfred Gelder Street, 2
windows, has a polychrome central pilaster. Two 3-light cross
casements and above, two 3-light mullioned windows. Below, 2
segment-headed 3-light cross casements with double keystones.
