House in row. Late C18 or early C19. Flemish bond brickwork,
tile roof.
3 storeys and basement, 2-windowed. 16-pane sashes at first
and second floors. The ground floor wall is painted with
12-pane sashes and C19 four-panel flush door under transom
light to the right, all under a full-width fascia. 2 basement
grilles. Moulded stone eaves cornice to hipped roof; large
stack to left. Long back wing.
INTERIOR: tiled throughway, with a glazed door to left to hall
with fine Victorian staircase. Ground floor altered in the
late C19; front room has heavy moulded C19 transverse beam.
Said to have been Barnes Bakery; there is an older framed
Malthouse (qv) behind the house.
