Pair of attached houses. c1840. Render with limestone
dressings and lateral and party wall stacks, roof not visible.
Neoclassical style. Double-depth plan. Each of 2 storeys;
2-window range. A composed front has narrow, panelled end
sections set back, pilasters with Corinthian capitals at the
corners and between the windows, to a cornice and parapet.
Doorways in the returns have 6-panel doors; the front has
French windows under a full-width canopy on unusual cast-iron
brackets in the form of a coiled snake, and first-floor
8/8-pane sashes. INTERIOR: No.7, large entrance hall with a
dogleg stair with curved end to the party wall, stick
balusters and a curtial, wainscot, 6-panel doors and panelled
shutters.
