Terrace of 8 houses. c1840. Stucco with limestone dressings,
party wall stacks, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Late
Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys and basement; 1-window
range. A uniform terrace articulated by pilasters to a cornice
and parapet; steps up to raised areas above projecting
basements, beneath a continuous full-width tented verandah
with wrought-iron stanchions and railings. Right-hand doorways
with rectangular overlights and decorative glazing bars and
6-panel doors; 2/2 and 3/3-pane sashes. INTERIOR: entrance
hall divided by a semicircular arch, dogleg stair with stick
balusters and column newels, built-in dressers to the front
basement, marble fireplaces, panelled shutters and 6-panel
doors. A matching terrace to Nos 37-65 Fremantle Road (qv).
