Lodge, now part of hospice; attached wall extending
approximately 47m to right to corner of Finchfield Hill, with
10m canted angle and 20m return to gate in Finchfield Hill.
c1845. By Edward Banks. Stuccoed brick; hipped slate roofs
with stuccoed stacks. Italianate style. Single storey;
3-window range with rear range projecting to left return.
Quoin strips. 2-light windows in plain surrounds flank
entrance with hipped Tuscan porch and 6-pannelled door, top 2
glazed; large cross-axial stack. Rear has 2-light windows,
lean-to porch to left and 2 cross-axial stacks. Attached wall,
of stone ashlar, has roll-moulded coping; part to Finchfield
Hill is stepped up, with some inserted courses of later
masonry.
