Includes: No.1 QUAY STREET.
Public house and adjoining shop. C18 with shop front added
early C20. Stucco; asbestos slate roof with hipped end on
right; cast-iron ogee gutters. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys
plus attic. Public house (left) has 2-window-range front. 3
ground-floor windows and possibly original doorcase on right
with 6-panel door; late C19 horned sashes (ground floor) and
early C19 hornless sashes with glazing bars removed set in
raised stucco architraves; 2 gabled roof dormers have old
4-pane casements. Corner shop has canted corner with splayed
entrance doorway and stepped display parapet above: shop front
has single light, left of doorway, and 4 lights at right-hand
return into Quay Street, with carved capitals to columns, slit
ventilator frieze and sloping fascia. INTERIOR not inspected.
