Pair of houses. 1836-7. Brick with buff headers and stucco
dressings; slate roof with brick end stacks. Georgian style. 2
storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Top brick cornice.
Round-headed entrances and entry to centre have blind
fanlights and C20 doors, the entry with plank door. Ground
floor has bay windows with cornices over small-paned glazing
to No.9 and similar C20 glazing to No.10. Windows to 1st floor
have sills, and rusticated wedge lintels over 12-pane sashes,
but right end window has C20 casement. Part of the early C19
development of the north part of Stratford, known as New Town.
