Terrace of 3 houses, 2 formerly shops. c1840, restored c1985.
Limestone ashlar, stone and brick party wall stack and a
pantile mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style.
Each of 3 storeys and attic; 1-window range. Plain ground
floor below a plat band, pilasters at the party walls to
imposts, frieze, cornice and parapet, and coped party walls.
Semicircular-arched doorways to left on Nos 27 & 28, to right
on No.26, with keys and imposts, 6-panel doors and 5-pane
timber fanlights. Tripartite ground-floor windows have
6/6-pane sashes flanked by 2/2-pane sashes; fluted consoles to
cornices on the first floor, plain openings on the second
floor, to 6/6-pane sashes; lead-clad dormers have cambered
heads and 3/3-pane sashes. INTERIOR not inspected. Shop fronts
to Nos 26 & 27 were removed and windows replaced to match
No.28, as above, c1985.
