Attached house. c1760. Stucco with limestone dressings, brick
gable-end stacks and slate and pantile mansard valley roof.
Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style. 3 storeys, basement and
attic; 3-window range. Left-hand rusticated pilaster extends
above the cornice and parapet, and coped end gables. Left-hand
doorcase has engaged Tuscan columns and pediment, a C19 canted
bay to the right-hand 2 windows; first-floor 6/6-pane and
second-floor 3/3-pane sashes, and three C19 attic casements.
INTERIOR: vaulted, flagged basement; entrance hall divided by
a glazed screen with a rectangular overlight containing a
decorative fanlight, to a rear open-well stair with wreathed,
toadback rail, column-on-vase balusters and column newels,
panelled wainscot, and a small winder stair to the attic;
panelled rooms with fireplaces with eared surrounds and
panelled overmantel, and first-floor flanking cupboards with
HL hinges; 6-panel doors.
