Cottage, now outbuilding. Mid-late C17. Coursed squared gritstone,
graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Quoins. Right: 4-panel
door in chamfered quoined surround with large lintel. 2 square windows to
ground floor; two 2-light recessed-chamfered mullion windows above, the
mullions removed. Shaped kneelers, gable coping, left end stack. Left
return: blocked doorway to upper floor, left. Interior: ground floor: large
fireplace at left end has stone surround and iron range. The building was
probably constructed as a small granary or stable with hay loft over, became
a labourer's cottage in the C19 and is now used for storage. In a derelict
condition at time of resurvey.
