9/87 Front garden walls with
gates at Brimham Lodge

GV II

Garden walls. Late C17. Probably for Thomas Braithwaite, for whom the hall
(qv) was built. Coursed squared gritstone, approximately 2 metres high on
west side, stepped down to 1 metre on south and east sides; ridged coping.
Gateway at north end of west wall: chamfered quoined jambs, lintel with
shallow 4-centred arch and hollow moulding. Gateway at centre of south
wall: stone piers with ball finials approximately 1.5 metres high.
