Detached house. Probably C17 origin, altered in mid-C20. Rubble stone walls,
stone slate roof, stone stack at left end. L-shaped plan. One storey and attic.
C20 stone porch with gabled roof. C20 oak ledged door. Front wall buttressed.
Ground floor has 2 C20 casements with glazing bars under brick arches. Attic
has 2 pent-roofed dormers with similar casements. At right end, a single-storey
extension with added pergola; - entrance in this gable wall. Interior altered,
but retains 2 original open fireplaces with timber lintols -one altered. Some
chamfered ceiling beams. Note. This is not the house described as Ricketts Farm
in the original Supplementary List, Ref. 27/108. (RCHM, Monument 143. Dorset.
