Westwood Farm House, including attached barn on left, and front boundary wall

Farmhouse, with attached barn on left. Early C17. Coursed rubble stone walls,
stone slate roof, stone end stacks and one brick stack right of door. 3-room
and cross-passage plan. 2 storeys. Ledged door with glass panel in depressed
4-centred arch. Ground floor has one casement with glazing bars, and 2 stone
mullioned windows with lead lights, all under stone relieving arches. First floor
has 5 stone mullioned windows with lead lights. Internally, ground floor room at
left end has large open fireplace with timber lintol - part built up. Some deep
chamfered ceiling beams. Attached barn on left has rubble stone walls. Roof,
originally stone slated, stripped at time of survey (1985). Front boundary wall
of dry stone rubble. A National Trust property. (RCHM, Monument 140. Dorset.
