2/125 Barn immediately south-
west of Little Toller Farm

GV II

Barn. C16 core, with re-roofing and porches rebuilt in C19. Flint and banded
rubble walls, with chalk-block walling at south end. Roman tile roof, hipped
at south end and gabled at north end. One open storey. Left hand projecting
porch: with corrugated iron doors and concrete lintel over. Right hand porch,
smaller, with wider segmental brick arch over. Wooden frame and long wooden
lintel. Roof construction, of 9 bays, originally jointed-cruck with collars,
very short cruck posts bedded in with short plates beneath; very much repaired.
Rear of barn, attached rubble-stone, brick dressed, and slate-roofed structure,
housing the farm wheel. Iron wheel sunk into pit, in situ. Plank door over to
bin floor.
