Parish Church. Mid C19. Nave and chancel in one. Rubble-stone walls and
dressed stone quoins. Slate roof with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers.
Stone bellcote on west gable with bell. East gable with stone cross-in-wheel.
Single storey. 3 lancets, straight-chamfered. Returned label over each.
Diamond-leaded lights. East window: 3 steppe lancets with continuous label
over. West door, pointed arch, with moulded stone jambs. Two re-used
crowned head-stops set in either side.
Interior: pointed sanctuary arch (plain). Roof: of arch-braced collar
construction, carried on stone corbels, clasped purlins, moulded wall-plate
fittings: font: stone cylindrical bowl with band of interlace at top, cable
moulding below and at base, between them a series of 6 full-length figures,
one with cross-shaft, also half-figures and heads, also 3 enriched columns
supporting a monster with one head and 2 bodies; C12. Sculpture: re-set on
east wall of chancel, stone showing part of scene of St Mary Magdalene wiping
the feet of Christ, (her head and Christ's foot and lower drapery visible),
c.1130. Pews, with fielded-panel ends, C19.
