Farmhouse. Late C17 house with C18 and late C19 additions and
alterations. Flemish bond brick with moulded brick dressings and
stone tile roof. 2 storeys with cellar and attic. Entrance front:
C18 walling with C19 quoins to, corners, moulded string course and
cornice. C19 gabled porch to left of centre with brick base and
timber upper structure. Staircase windows to right at mezzanine
levels. C19 ovolo moulded mullioned and transomed windows to left and
right of 2 lights with cambered relieving arches of headers. Small
C19 lavatory window to right of upper staircase window. C19 English
garden wall bond addition to right. Rear elevation: 2 bays, left
hand bay has late C18 angled bay window to ground floor with 3-light
ovolo moulded window above, with relieving arch over of headers.
3-light ovolo moulded window to attic. 3-light ovolo moulded windows
to right hand ground and first floors, that to ground floor having a
relieving arch of 2 rows of headers. Moulded string course between
floors.
Interior: 4 flight closed string staircase with ½ landings.
Chamfered ceiling beams to ground floor. C17 and C18 raised and
fielded doors throughout.
