House. c1780. Red brick Flemish bond to front and left side, English
garden wall bond to right and rear. Slate roof. 2 storeys and
basement. Symmetrical plan - 2 rooms either side of staircase hall.
Entrance front of 3 bays, central classical doorcase of wood with
pediment above stone flight of 7 steps. 6-panel door - 4 lower raised
and fielded and 2 upper glazed panels. Vitrified headers. Cl9 bay
windows to ground floor. Upper floor has skewback arches and sash
windows of 5 x 6 panes and 6 x 6 to centre (which is a late C19
addition) containing some original glass. Modillion cornice. C19
additions to rear and C20 addition to right hand side.
Interior: Central hallway with open string staircase, 6-panel raised
and fielded doors to C18 ground and 1st floor rooms. Classical
fireplace of white and variagated marble to dining room.
Neo-classical plasterwork to ceiling and cornice of drawing room.
Cast iron hob grates and fireplaces to 1st floor rooms.
