House, now 2 houses. Circa 1850. Roughly-dressed coursed squared sandstone with
tooled projecting quoins of millstone grit, and ashlar dressings. Roof of Welsh
slate with flat stone gable copings. L-plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Shaped steps
to central renewed door with 3-pane overlight in surround of pilasters supporting
entablature, with oak-leaf pattern in corners, under prominent cornice which
breaks forward over pilasters. Late C19 sashes, above door and at left, renewed
windows at right; flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Cast iron
gutters on paired moulded stone brackets at eaves. Low-pitched roof has curved
kneelers and corniced chimneys. Rear renewed door and inserted door; 16-pane
ground-floor and 12-pane first-floor windows. Coach entrance to road on bank on
first floor of right wing has elliptical arch with alternate-block jambs,
voussoirs and projecting key. Round-coped rear wall on road frontage has cast
iron principals with shaped finials. Stone-flagged path and cobbled rear yard.
