Bastle house; possibly c.1600 with alterations. Roughly coursed and squared
stone, with some massive quoins and ashlar dressings; stone-flagged roof. 2
storeys, 2 windows. Side steps, behind flat-coped stepped wall, to first-floor
central Dutch door. Thin stone lintel to door and to flanking late C19 sashes
with thin stone sills. Right return gable has central ground-floor 2-centred-
arched surround to chamfered flat Tudor-arched door; draw-bar slot. 2
irregularly-placed small sashes above at left, one with glazing bars. End
chimneys with thin string near top. Interior of ground floor shows walls about
one metre thick.
