Early C19. 3-storeys. Yellow stock brick. The whole of the building is
on a slight curve. Brick dentil cornice with parapet and stone capping over.
Slate roof. 5 windows to upper floors. Sash windows in shallow reveals; flat
arches; glazing bars intact; rubbed brick voussoirs. On ground floor under,
entablature across 2/3rds of front to south-east with a delicate dentilled
cornice with a corner pilaster at south-east end. Below this, a fine contemporary
shop front which has lights with curved heads. To north-east of this, original
entablature has been demolished, and a modern boarded fascia substituted;
plate-glass shop front and doorway have been inserted below.

All the listed buildings in Corn Market and Market Place form a group.
