Cottage, formerly the lock keeper's cottage. Dated 1788 J Compton on plaque
with moulded cornice above window. Renovated 1986. Dressed limestone with
freestone and ashlar dressings. Collyweston stone slated roof; brick stack
to right hand. Keystones and gauged stone flat window and door arches. C20
door and canopy approached by steps to left hand; former segmental planned
bay window with hung sashes and shutters replaced by C20 casement window to
right hand. Interior plan modified; C20 staircase. Included for group
value.
