THE SWISS GARDEN,
Gatescreen at entrance,

Gatescreen. Thought to date from early C19, when 3rd Lord Ongley (1803-77)
was developing the garden. Wrought iron. Fairly plain design. Consists of
series of archways, the arches with restrained geometric pattern decoration,
the screen and double gates simple grilles with curved tops, and plain finials
to each spike.
