Upper Pond

Pair of rose arches. Early-mid C19 for 3rd Lord Ongley Stamped "Cato and Sons
London". Cast iron. Each is of the same design. The outer edge of each
archway is formed by openwork rectangular bases which have ornamental foliate
panels to their inner faces and semi-circular foliate heads to each face, and
which support an elliptical arch with palmette and anthemion decoration.
Parallel with these runs an additional plain central rib supported by a
slender column.
