Early C16 timber-framed and plastered house. The timber-framing is exposed
on the upper storey. Two storeys. On the front the ground storey has been
refaced in brick (painted). The upper storey projects as a small wing on
the south-west front and is supported on 2 posts with brackets and some
carved panelling, to form an open porch on the ground storey. The gable
of the porch wing projects slightly on a bressummer with pendants and the
gable has ogee shaped bracing. The corners of the upper part have curved
braces. The windows are casements mainly with latticed lights, some with
glazing bars. Roof tiled, hipped, with a gambrel roof at the north-west
and south-east ends. (RCHM 16).
