1926. Architect: Temple Moore. Common brick. Nave with two aisles on south side,
and three on north. Higher choir with one aisle each side, and polygonal apse. Owing
to the shape of the site the aisles are not the usual rectangular shape in plan, but
triangular. Flat-topped, bell turret at junction of south choir aisle and southern nave
aisle. Two-light windows with decorated tracery and hood moulds, flat-topped to aisles,
pointed elsewhere, and very tall in apse and at west end.
Four-bay nave, and two-bay choir, taken on very tall ashlar piers of square plan set
diagonally: pointed arches: plastered walls: wooden roof. The austere interior and
the external combination of common brick with elaborate tracery given it a North German
appearance.
