Perhaps C16. Very thick walls of stone rubble, slate roof, 2 low storeys. Now colour-washed. Front has boarded door and modern timber porch. 2 windows on ground floor and 3 above, with 16 or 20 panes, and new small-paned casements. A slate dripstone over whole ground floor. Large stepped chimney projects on right hand end wall.

St Anne's Court, Ash Tree Cottage, Old School House, Nos 1 to 5 (consec) and Barn attached to Old School House form a group with The Cottage, Fairview Cottage, Nos 3 to 6 (consec), Raesbeck, Little Beck and Ashton Cottage, Fair View Road.
