House, now nursing home, and former stable entrance. Late C18
with mid C19 additions, converted and altered c1988. Ashlar
with hipped slate roof, with 2 multiple side wall and 2
similar ridge stacks, all ashlar. Plinth, first floor band and
sillband, moulded eaves.
3 storeys; 3 window range. South front has two 3-storey canted
bay windows with plain sashes on the lower floors and smaller
C20 casements above. Central bay has single windows and a
stone doorcase with pediment on Corinthian columns, C20 door
and overlight. All these windows have double keystones. Side
windows have plain lintels. Right side has 3 plain sashes on
each floor, those to the left blank. To its right, a mid C19 2
storey hipped addition, 2 windows, with pilastered first floor
and below, 2 blank elliptical arches, the left one with a
plain sash. Left side has 4 plain sashes on each floor, those
to right blank.
To left, former stable entrance, now entrance and reception
area, has 3 elliptical arches with impost band, the central
one with C20 glazed doors, the outer ones with single windows.
C20 upper storey and hipped tile roof.
INTERIOR has dogleg cantilevered stone stair with iron stick
balusters, ramped and scrolled handrail.
