Lodge and pavilion, now offices. Mid C19. Squared dressed
stone with ashlar dressings and gabled and hipped slate roofs,
with 3 side wall and single ridge stone stacks. L-plan.
Plinth. String course to lodge. Single and 2 storeys, with
corner tower.
Lodge, 2 storeys; 3 window range, has a projecting centre with
round-headed plain sash with bracketed sill under pedimented
gable. On either side, single plain sashes. Central
round-headed doorway with keystone, moulded 6-panel door and
overlight, flanked by paired round-headed sashes with shafts.
4 stage square tower has string courses, bracketed eaves, and
pyramidal roof. First stage has slit vents and second stage
has a round-headed sash on 3 sides. Third stage has a clock
with keystoned architrave. Pilastered fourth stage has on each
side an opening with central pier and metal grille. Open
fronted pavilion, to left, has plinth with iron railing and
wooden posts with cast-iron brackets. Under the canopy, 3
glazing bar windows and 2 double doors with overlights, all
with round heads. Cross-wing, to left, has 2 round-headed
sashes in the gables and 3 similar margin light sashes in the
left return.
