Includes: No.51 KENWOOD PARK ROAD.
2 houses. c1860. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and
hipped and gabled slate roofs with patterned ridge tiles and
finials. Gothick style. Triangular plan on acute angled corner
site.
EXTERIOR: plinth, string course, quoins. 2 storeys plus
attics; 2 window range. Windows are mainly traceried cross
casements with label moulds. At the corner, square 2-storey
bay window with sill and lintel bands and crenellated parapet,
with a 3-light casement on each floor, the lower one flanked
on either side by a similar 2-light window, the upper one
flanked to right only.
Rundle Road front has traceried eaves band and to left, an
external stack. Central 2-light casement, and below, pointed
arched doorway with recessed glazed door and sidelights,
flanked by a single light window to left. To right, a gable
with traceried bargeboards and canted 2 storey bay window with
a 4-light casement on each floor, and above, a 2-light
casement.
Kenwood Park Road side has similar traceried eaves band.
Central 2-light casement, and below it a canted flat-roofed
porch with an untraceried 2-light casement and a half-glazed
door with overlight. To its right, a single light window. To
right, a triangular oriel window on a bracket. To left, a
canted 2 storey bay window with a 4-light window on each
floor.
