Pair of houses, extended to the right and left-hand rear. Late
C17/early C18, rear C19 range. Coursed limestone rubble,
roughcast in original list, with brick gable and axial stacks
and stone slate roof.
PLAN: L-shaped single-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. Timber lintels
to a central doorway with boarded door and C20 hipped canopy,
windows with C19 2-light casements. Straight joint to the
right of the ridge stack, ground-floor right-hand window has
long and short jambs, and straight joint between central and
end houses. 1-window left-hand gable with quoins, the N lower
rear extension has 2 attached 1-window houses, the further one
stepped down.
INTERIOR: details of No.95 include a collar truss roof with
rear winder stair, split below the top; through-passage; axial
stack has a C17 fireplace with a round-arched niche in the
right-hand side, first-floor cupboard to side of fireplace,
and curved possible former stair bays to the left of
right-hand gable fireplace.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached iron front area railings to
sunken front area.
