House, now shop. 1894. Limestone ashlar with brick gable
stacks and a stone slate roof. Double-depth plan.
3 storeys and attic; 3-window range. A symmetrical front has a
full-width late C19 shop front with pilasters, fascia and
cornice and segmental pediment, thin mullions and recessed
central doorway with double doors, with an ovolo-moulded
ground-floor chamfer to the left-hand corner; 2 first-floor
canted timber oriels and 3 second-floor windows, with 2/1-pane
horned sashes, and 2 gabled casement dormers. Overhanging
eaves and verges.
INTERIOR: largely altered ground floor.
Principally included for its contribution to a fine group of
listed buildings fronting High Street.
