House, now a shop. Early/mid C19 refronting of an earlier
structure. Painted ashlar with steep-pitched stone slate roof,
external stone stack with brick shaft to the right gable end.
Double-depth plan with C19 facade and rear addition.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. The parapet
and cornice are returned but shaped to the slope of the roof,
implying refronting. 6/1-pane sash windows with moulded
architraves and bracketed sills to the 1st floor, chamfered
rusticated pilasters, that to the right with plinth and
cornice between floors; C20 shop front.
INTERIOR: to the rear of the 1st floor are an early C18
6-panel door and mid C18 4-panel door beside which is a window
of 3 rows of 4 crown-glass panes with thick ovolo-moulded
glazing bars, probably onto a former courtyard, now a room.
The 3-bay, butt-purlin roof has a slightly arched collar beam.
