Pair of houses, now 2 shops. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar, hipped
slate roof with wide eaves and moulded ashlar stacks to rear.
Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; each house is symmetrical 3-window range.
Eaves band and pilasters to corners and party wall. The 1st
floor has raised surrounds to 6/6-pane sash windows, those to
the centres are semicircular-arched with radial cobweb glazing
bars to the tops. Projecting C20 shop fronts.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
One of a group of houses in New Road built after the arrival
of the railway in 1840-41.
