Artisans' cottages. 1909. Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin. Painted pebbledash with plinth of brick in Flemish bond to crosswings only, painted to No.19; kneelers of tile. The group designed after the pattern of a double-ended hall house. Two storeys. Five-window range to hall range with one window each to facing gable crosswings. Design corresponds closely to that of Nos. 1-7 Asmuns Hill (odd; q.v.) differing only in minor details which include: right jambs of round-arched cross passage painted; casement to left of No.19's entrance appears to be a late C20 enlargement; also apparently of later date is the slender gable light to the facing gable of No.13. The Asmuns Hill group is a most important example of a complete Parker and Unwin streetscape.
