Farmhouse. Late C16 or C17 with mid- to late C19 alterations and additions.
Timber framed; refaced or partly rebuilt, and extended in red brick; plain
tile roofs. Baffle-entry hall range, projecting gabled cross-wing to left,
and later additions to right and at rear. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic.
Dentil brick eaves cornice to right; large central brick ridge stack with
shafting and moulded oversailing top. Hall range with first-floor C20 three-
light casement and ground-floor segmental-headed 4-light casement to right;
blocked door now window in angle of cross-wing to left with C20 lean-to porch.
Cross-wing with segmental-headed C19 three-light wooden attic casement, 2
first-floor segmental-headed casements, C20 three-light to left and C19 two-
light to right, and ground-floor C20 segmental-headed 3-light casement to
left with small C20 casement to right. Double collar and tie-beam truss
with queen struts and V-struts exposed in right-hand gable end. C19 addition
to right with 3-light segmental-headed casement to left. 2-storey C19
wing at rear with integral brick end stack and main entrance. Interior not
inspected but likely to be of interest.
