House, formerly an entrance lodge to Tingrith House. Early C19, in cottage orné
style. Ground floor and one gable attic of colourwashed brick, other gable attics of
slender timber framing with colourwashed brick infill. Thatched roof. One storey
and attics. Small rectangular structure, with central slightly projecting gable to
front and rear. Main block attic oversails to line with projecting gables for form
verandahs supported on timber piers. Casement windows throughout, all with diamond
leaded lights. NW elevation projecting gable has 2-storeyed canted bay window with
thatched hood. Most other windows have pointed-arched glazing bars within square
head, attic ones with additional smaller flanking lights. SE elevation projecting
gable has C20 French window to ground floor. NE gable end has 4-centred arched plank
door. Decorative wavy-edged bargeboards. 2 colourwashed ridge stacks with linked
diagonal shafts.
